''On 18-5-1990 when the Cinema show from
3.00 to 6.00 pm was going , I was on Duty at the gate Malik Theater Cinema. At
about 4.00pm the accused came there with a bag in his hand. Iasked him to let
me check his bag as there were the standing instructions of the owners of
Cinema not to allow anybody inside the hall with a bag unless it is checked.
Muhammad Saeed Khan chowkidar also turned up there. The accused (Sarabjit
Singh) said that he was a Haveldar of the Police. I then allowed him to
go inside the Hall. After the termination of show the accused went away and
after sometime there was a blast near the PickUp of Haji Aslam in which he used
to sell medicines , In Februry 991 , the accused was brought by the police in
Cinema and I identified him as the person who had come to Malik Theater Cinema
with a Bag in his Hand He is the same person who is present in the Court.''
By the learned Defence Counsel appointed
by state ''it is correct that I did not Check the Bag Physically , Ordinally we
do check the ticket and the bag before somebody goes inside the picture House.
The accused was holding a ticket of the show concerned The accused remained in
the Cinema Hall at interval Time , I saw the accused outside the cinema
during interval time. During interval time i went to the office of Cinema
situated in the same permises. The distance between the place of occurence and
Malik Theater is 25/30 yards. I did not Know the accused before he came to the
picture house. It is correct that i did not meet the accused after the
explosion till such time he was brought by the Police and I identified
him. When the accused was brought to the cinema there were 3/4 police officials
with him. I was called outside by the Police and I identified him''

this drama . Then he hired a Lawyer Syed Farhan Ali and submit an application
in the court of Sessions Judge Lahore under section 22-A & 22-B Cr.P.C for
issuance of a direction to respondents to take necessary steps to provide
protection to him and his family
Saleem Shokat said : ‘’ After the protest
when reached at my shop , some people ( Ghunda Type) came at my shop and used
harsh language and said bring an end to this Drama , otherwise be ready to
serious repercussion , then I object them that I m using my legal right , and I
will continue my struggle to get Justice , on objection , these persons flare
up and said ; you don’t know us and Ansar
Burney , we already released
so many prisoners and also made release Sarabjit Singh , they abuse me
threatened me and went away’’
Such kind of illegal activities of
harassing and threatening to Saleem Shokat and his family is still and making
his life miserable Saleem said , few days before some media persons came at his
shop and direct him to forgive Sarabjit
Singh , in order to held peace deal with India Pakistan
